NKP Depot at Hibbard, Indiana scanned from the September 9, 1956 South Bend (Indiana) Tribune and Submitted by Bob Albert.

Agent Thornburg inspects #56 for hot boxes and dragging equipment from the PRR right-of-way. Normal practice was to stand in the middle of the PRR tracks, staying out of the weeds that way. You can see the train schedule board and a sign declaring "Nickel Plate Depot For Culver Military Academy". Many cadets and trunks came through this station. When the trunks were piled high on the baggage wagon, George would have me climb over them, reading the tags from various railroads to him as recorded them on a log sheet. I thought it was fun, but saved George the work of climbing over the pile.
