Tack Board- questions from readers

Front: Authentic buildings from the Nickel Plate and its ancestors are becoming quite rare these days. It was a pleasant surprise for attendees at the 2002 Convention to find the ex-NKP, ex-W&LE depot at Coshocton intact and in reasonably good shape. The 1889-built structure, known as the East Coshocton depot in Wheeling days, sits in the center of the wye near Orange Street.

Back: One of the delights of travel on the Nickel Plate was a meal in the diner. Although not as well-known as the service on some rival roads, Nickel Plate dining cars are fondly remembered for delicious meals at reasonable prices. And dining car china collectors like Ed Biedenharn help keep the memory alive.
