Tack Board- questions from readers

Front: Malinta, Ohio didn't occupy the same position in the Nickel Plate scheme of things as did, say, Bellevue or Conneaut. Still, an active interchange with the DT&I and a respectable local business made it an interesting place. In the fall of 1960, two RS3's accelerate eastbound tonnage towards Toledo.

Back: In a scene from the early '50s, an unknown gentleman crosses the Nickel Plate main at the Fort Wayne passenger station with a determined pace. The track elevation project, a few years in the future, will forever alter this locale. Even today, however, a little bit of the Nickel Plate remains to remind the interested of what once was.
