Tack Board- questions from readers

Front: Mikado 662 certainly got around in her 34-year career. Built in 1924 for Nickel Plate District service, the H-6f put in some time on the LE&W and Clover Leaf Districts before returning to her native main line. Some three and a half years after Don Daily fired her from Frankfort to Charleston, the 662 works a westbound local between Shinrock and Avery on June 28, 1957.

Back: Who says history doesn't repeat itself? One of the restoration crew makes some adjustments to the 759 during that engine's 1968 rebuild at Conneaut. Valley Locomotive Restorations plans to begin work on the Berkshire this spring and intends to have her back in steam in a year. Perhaps during the work, this very scene will be reinacted.
